Sources said that there was a slight
increase in demand in Europe for naphtha from gasoline blenders, but trading
activity remained low, Dec. 28. One source
stated that "it is still very quiet on [the physical market], just bits of
work getting done on LVN side," adding that there was "a little
interest from blenders, but everything else is super calm." Sources say
that the best blending grades light virgin naphtha are trading at a $15-20/mt
premium over open-specification products. This is a slight increase on previous
weeks' $10-15/mt levels. The first bid for naphtha at the
Market on Close assessment since Nov. 30 was a sign of increased demand. This
