Asian isomer-grade mixed xylene rose $24-28/mt
between June 24 and $1,273-1,300/mt FOB Korea, and $1,223-1,250/mt CFR Unv1. It
was also up to $5.50-6.25/mt on June 27 at $1,089-1,100/mt China CFR China, on
the back of firm upstream prices, and support from Asian demand, sources
stated. August
ICE Brent crude oil futures increased $2.80/b and reached $113.40-130.10/b by
0830 GMT in Asian trading. This also
supported downstream paraxylene which rose $17-20/mt and reached $1,266-1,300/mt
CFRUnv1/China. Although the spread was
less than the spread at minus $31.50-35/mt on June 10, which was a multi-year
low, it still fell below PX prices on CFR. The seller stated that US buyers are still interested in
