Asian RecycledHDPE: Prices fall amid uncertainty /Import volumes decreasing in SE Asia /The market for virgin PE is stable

The price of Asian recycled high density polyethylene dropped by $5/mt from week to week. Natural film pellets cost $740/mt on July 9 while HDPE black blastmolding was $525/mt during the same time period. Mixed offers were made, but the most aggressive ones indicated that prices had dropped slightly compared to a week ago. The prices of Asian virgin polyethylene were also relatively stable week over week. HDPE blowmolding CFR Far East Asia prices were stable at $850/mt in July 9, the same as last week. One trader reported that prices in China are "steady," with limited orders, amid a bearish or steady outlook for recycled PET.
