Sources said that the Asian recycled low density polyethylene market was stable during the week ending April 2. Southeast Asia, however, experienced a slowdown because of the Hari Raya holiday. Asian recycled LDPE film pellets were stable at $770/mt FOS Southeast Asia, week-over-week on April 2. Sources said that the demand was weak because of the negative sentiments surrounding prime materials. According to a trader, Malaysian recyclers are facing operational challenges due to delays and demurrage caused by recent port customs inspections. It also impacts the cash flow and supply chain for import-dependent companies.
