week ending February 8. One seller said, "I don't know who's
supporting these B-grade price points." According to the seller, 18
cents per lb is the average price paid by US Southeast mills. California
picked-up bale prices would be 8 cents per lb if trucking costs are 10 cents
per lb. This is about half the market value that was reported this
week. According to the seller, California bale prices can be supported by
Mexico, although Mexico's domestic supply has been supporting them in recent
years. The seller stated that bottle-bale production seems low...
