processing costs continue to erode producer margins. The tight supply of
premium-grade RPET has led to higher conversion costs. This is typically used
in food packaging and bottle applications. However, high processing costs
continue to erode producer margins. Sources said that demand continues to be
supported despite the softening in virgin PET prices. One recycler stated that conversion costs for bales to
flakes have increased from $150-180/mt to $200-$300/mt over the past month,
while costs for flakes to pellets have risen from $200-$300/mt up to
