The RPET clear flakes grade, FOB Southeast Asia was $10/mt higher at $850/mt
while the premium grade remained steady at $950/mt. Market sources
indicated that the fundamentals of the Asian recycled PET market are improving
but at a slow pace. Sources say that the increase in tourism to Southeast
Asia has resulted in an increase in post-consumer trash, which has had an
impact on bale prices in certain regions but not in others. The FOB
Southeast Asia PET bottles grade was $10/mt less than the week of February 15,
