R-PET pellets with food grade R-PET flakes increased by $40/mt to $1,345/mt in the same time period. Market sources say that rising feedstock costs have been driving up the price of flakes as waste collection is not very impressive. Market sources reported that bale prices have increased from Rupees fifty per kilogram a few weeks ago to Rupees 55- 52/kg at present. A buyside source stated that "waste collection improves with the progress of summer as post-consumer bottles become more available." The market was awaiting clarity on the minimum 30% recycled plastics in PET bottles. Domestic prices have increased quite a bit over the last few days.
