Asian recycled PET: Prices remain stable despite thin

polyethylene Terephthalate was stable during the week of September 21. However,
prices in key export areas declined. FD Northwest Europe RPET flakes Eur1,925/mt September 20,
down from Eur2,090/mt a few months ago. US
prices for RPET clear flakes FOB Los Angeles were 50 cents/lb on Sept. 20, a
decrease of 65 cents/lb one month ago. "The
demand for premium flakes is decreasing... A recycler stated that some regular buyers still buy premium
flakes because they are committed to sustainability. Others are looking for
cheaper flakes. Sources said that the
non-premium resin market was experiencing pressure due to lower demand for
