polyethylene prices rose on the back of higher prime resin prices. The
upside potential for recycled resin markets is likely to be limited as buyers
will not see much incentive to use them, especially if they are more costly
than prime material. One China -based trader stated that prime material is
easier and more efficient than recycled plastics and it is much cheaper and
less time-consuming to do so. In the second half 2022, recycled plastics
demand was low. This is primarily due to Asian exporters who sell to brand
owners who recycle to fulfill their sustainability commitments. It has
