prices fell week-over-week Jan. 4, as little trading activity was observed in
the first week. Market
activity was muted last week due to the holiday season, as many industry
players were still absent. Buyers remained
largely silent on the low prices of virgin PET, which led to a lack of buying
enquiries week-to-week. On Jan. 4, the FOB
SEA PET PET bottle-grade virgin PET remained at $970/mt. According to some sources, Thailand's feedstock prices
dropped to 38-44 cents/kg, from 47-49 cents/kg last month, as there were still
