expensive than primeThe Asian market for low-density recycled
polyethylene was stable despite thin trade. Sources say that recycled
resin markets will see little upside as they move into 2023. Buyers won't be motivated
to use recycled plastics if they are more costly than prime material. One trader from China said that it is easier and more
efficient to use prime material and there is no need for recycled plastics. In the second half 2022, recycled plastic demand was low.
This is mainly due to Asian exporters who sell to brand owners who recycle to
fulfill their sustainability commitments as well as buyers in Europe, the US
and elsewhere that require recycled material. It has proved difficult...
