The week saw stable prices for Asian
recycled polyethylene Terephthalate amid mixed supply outlooks and changes in
related markets. Some
Southeast Asian recyclers experienced a slow start to post-holiday purchasing.
However, they saw an increase in purchases from local and international clients
after the global R-PET price remained high. Recyclers tried to keep the prices in line with virgin PET
prices, and this was evident as offers remained stable throughout the week. Over the past weeks, the FOB Southeast Asia PET PET bottle
grade virgin PET closed at $1,280-1,320/mt on June 1. Mixed sentiments were expressed about the availability and
