In the week ending March 19, there was little trading activity. Asian recycled LDPE film pellets were stable at $780/mt F.O.B. Southeast Asia, on March 19, despite a lack of trading activity. The producers said that the weak economic growth had hampered demand. Sustainability projects have also been facing a slowdown of funding. Sources claim that the negative sentiment on virgin markets also affected the demand for recycled materials. Due to the ease of use, traders tended to choose virgin material when it was less expensive. GRScertified material is more expensive than virgin material.
