holidays in the region, Asian recycled low density polyethylene prices remained
stable on May 4. For non-mandated applications, the market was dull. There
were large shortages of the required recycled applications. Low demand meant that prime PE material was not expensive. According to a trader, shipping costs from Southeast Asia
and the US were $800-820/mt (or $20,000-20,500/FEU), while Southeast Asia to
Europe cost $600-$700/mt/ or $17000-17300/FEU. Trader said that arbitrage was possible between Southeast
Asia and Europe, as well as Southeast Asia-US. However, it was still difficult
