that recycled HDPE blow molding saw a surge in demand due to recycling
commitments. There was a large price gap
between users who mix when it is economically feasible and those who must
recycle. Due to brand owner commitments,
R-HDPE natural molding prices were $100-$200/mt higher than virgin HDPE. The price of recycled PE could rise to 15%-20% over virgin
HDPE blow grades. It may even be three times as high in Western countries.
Sources said that black-colored pellets are the most sought-after because they
are cheaper and end-users don't care about quality. They only recycle when the
