to the weakness of the dollar against yuan, Asian recycled high-density
polyethylene prices remained stable to slightly firm Dec. 21. Sources said
this was due to an adjustment made in price negotiations as the buying interest
firmed. Sources indicated that the black HDPE blowmolding was available at
a price of $220/mt less than the natural grade. Other resin pellets, which come
in different shades of grey, would require additional lab tests and
samples. China-based buyers set a limit on the buying price of prime
polyethylene grades. However, international sellers claimed that recycled
pellets to Europe were more expensive than prime prices because European buyers
