In the week ending March 26, Asian recycled high density polyethylene was stable to slightly weaker due to thin discussions. While some sources were in the US for a conference, Southeast Asia faced a slowdown because of Ramadan. Asian recycled high density polyethylene natural film Pellets stable day-over-day and down $20/mt from week to week at $745/mt, FOB Southeast Asia on March 26. Several sources used post-industrial resin in place of post-consumer for the ease of use and cleanliness, but some brand owners refused this solution to sustainability concerns. Scrap materials for pellets of mixed colors are still available in ample supply, though the availability of natural color scrap is decreasing.
