above virginOn the basis of thin trade, Asian recycled
high-density polyethylene natural film pellets have been rated stable since
March 2. One producer stated that producers were still searching for
sustainable sources given that 20 percent of global oil production could be
used in plastic production by 2050. Bottlers
who had to recycle minimum amounts of post-consumer resin were willing to pay
more for sourcing. End-users who only used recycled material when it made their
overall costs lower, however, weren't prepared to pay the same prices. There was a price gap in recycled HDPE bottles between users
and those who blended only when it was economically feasible. Sources said that there was not enough domestic...
