prices of Asian recycled high-density polyester film fell in the week up to
Dec. 1. Sources said that recycled flakes or pellets have trended
higher in the past year due to increased manpower and tight supply. However,
the recycled grade is still cheaper than the virgin grade as buyers don't want to
pay more. Sources said they were looking to
sell to Europe, the UK, and other countries where a plastic packaging tax of
GBP200/mt will apply to any packaging that contains less than 30% post-consumer
