xylene rose $7-10/mt on the day to $1,075-1,100/mt FOB Korea, and $1,095-1,120/mt
CFR Taiwan. It was stable at $1,045-1,075/mt CFR China on April 28, as H2 May
cargoes were being offered and prices rose. A market source stated that H2 May trading is almost
complete and that assessment laycans are due to roll forward in May. According
to this market source, there may be a limited supply of H2 May cargoes. The turnaround at Taiyo Oil, Japan's largest MX producer,
will take place from mid-May through mid-August. Its Kikuma complex can produce
approximately 700,000.mt/year MX. The end
