$825/mt CFR Taiwan/China Dec. 2, down $12/mt Weak oil
prices have caused the price to fall. Brent
crude futures for February were at $69.90/b, down $1.91/b. Oil Markets were
volatile during the day on Dec. 2, so traders avoided registering offers or bids. During the Market on Close (or MOC) assessment for
paraxylene. Mercuria Singapore placed a
bid at $795/mt- $820/mt, but this was
withdrawn very early during the MOC. There
were very few offers and bids during the auction. MOC, there were no trades on Dec. 2, which extended the
trend to more than a week. This indicates
a shortage of paraxylene in January/February. Naphtha C&F Japan marker the price of $660.25/mt was $13.75/m lower on Dec. 2.
PX-naphtha spread increased to $142.75/mt 141/mt
