Asian isomer-grade mixedxylene
dropped $63.75/mt at $933.25/mt FOB Korea. $63.75/mt at $934.25/mt CFR Unv1 and
$16/mt at $942.5/mt CFR China on October 31. This drop is likely due to
aggressive December cargo offers that drove prices lower in response to the
recent negative spread between paraxylene/isomer-MX. The spread reached a historic low in the week ending Oct.
30. Sources also said that another bearish
factor in MX was the domestic MX prices, which in China have been below
international prices for several weeks. Sources
added that fall has been observed in FOB Korea, CFR China and CFR Unv1.
