Asian paraxylene fell $11/mt to $915.33/mt
CFR unv1/China and $895.33/mt FBO Korea Dec. 2. The February Brent crude
futures fell 23 cents/b to $86.53/b Dec. 2. While the C&F Japan naphtha
mark was down $15.50/mt to $670/mt on Dec. 2. PX-naphtha spread increased to $245.33/mt Dec. 2, from
$240.83/mt day on. In the past two weeks,
the PX-naphtha spread remained in the $220-$250s/mt range. Market players are hesitant to hold long positions in months
that may not be convenient due to uncertainty about the settlement of the 2023
term contract. Paper trading has been very
quiet this week. MOC trades have also been rare. Traders said there were January cargoes available because
producers want to sell their January positions before January cargo
declarations get too...
