Due to lower downstream and upstream
prices, Asian isomer-grade mixedxylene declined on Nov. 17. Asian isomer grade mixed xylene fell $3/mt to
$900/mt FOB Korea, and $919/mt CFR UNV1. It was also
down $10/mt to $930/mt CFR China. Paraxylene dropped $10.75/mt to
$954.25/mt in downstream markets while upstream January ICE Brent crude oils
futures fell $1.17/b to $92.75/b by 4:30 PM Singapore time (0830 GMT Nov. 17). Market
participants expected a slowdown in December cargo demand and an increase in
supply. End-users stated that "it seems so many
cargoes [are] stuck Asia, and many vendors [are trying] cut prices to find
other buyers." Sources said that cargoes could flow into China
if domestic prices and CFR China bids remain higher than FOB Korea prices at
