$9.22-10.25/bAsian isomer-grade mixed xylene prices
dropped sharply on the day, along with other aromatics prices, by $43-48/mt and
$1,214-1,250/mt FOB Korea. $1,169-1,200/mt CRU Unv1 was also down. On July 6,
upstream crude oil futures fell amid renewed recession fears. September ICE Brent crude oil futures dropped
$9.22-10.25/b and $104.53-130.25/b during Asian trade. Naphtha was also lower
at $818.25-840.50/mt CIF Japan. The downstream paraxylene price
dropped $53-58/mt to $1.194-2.450/mt CFRUnv1/China. This led to the PXX-MX
falling further into negative territory at $19.75-24.50/mt on July 6. On an
import-parity basis, the August domestic price in East China was Yuan
8,230-8250/mt or $1,052-1,080/mt.
