India PVC prices rise $25/mt Wow on higher freight rates China-origin products also show firmness / Antidumping duties verdict delayed until June 12

Based on a consensus of buyers and sellers, CFR India PVC suspension grades are now $720/mt. This is a $25/mt increase from the week ending May 28. Freight rates were heard in the $1,500-$1,800/40-foot container range, compared with the previous range of $1,100-$1,300/40-foot container. Cargoes of Chinese origin also experienced an increase in discussion. Offers for carbide were heard between $685 and $690/mt. Some sources reported that ethylene cargoes could be discussed at $700/mt due to high shipping costs. In the week leading up to May 28, it was reported that a major Indian supplier offered and sold their entire cargo allocation for $720/mt.
