Based on stable pricing indications, US
spot export PVC prices were flattened in the week ending July 20. Prices were set at $1,020-$1,030/mt FAS Houston.
The base range was $1,000-$1,010/mt, with an additional $20-25/mt to cover
higher costs for drayage trucking, storage of packaged material in warehouses,
and higher costs for storage. The range is not inclusive of
freight, insurance, and margins. The US export PVC price has fallen
41% since May 25, as sellers cut offers to attract reluctant buyers. According
to market sources, buyers are reluctant to buy new material because there is so
much packaging material in storage. These
