Asian PVC Prices Fall to New Lows As
China's Selling Pressure Increases■ China's lowest level since April 2020■ Southeast has a higher demandAsia PVC prices fell from $70-75/mt
to $1,050-1,070/mt in China on June 29, as Chinese producers continued to
concentrate on exports after poor domestic demand. PVC prices
in China fell to $1,050-1,070/mt on June 29, after pandemic-driven lockdowns
infected demand worldwide. Prices are 40%
lower than their peak of $1.750-2.450/mt in October 2021. The domestic China market saw ethylene-based PVC prices fall
by Yuan 500-550/mt each week. They were now at Yuan 7,500-7,600/mt by June 29. Yuan 500-550/mt was also assessed for PVC based on carbide,
which was Yuan 7,300-7,400/mt week on week. Sources claimed that there was pressure on Chinese producers
