Asian PVC: FoB China strengthened by higher freight rates / Asian PVC prices increase amid rising freight costs Prices in SE Asia rise amid weak demand

reported on June 23 that the Asian PVC price was stable for the week ending June 25. China's domestic prices remained rangebound while export prices remained stable to firm. This is due to higher offers resulting from higher freight costs, ethylene prices, and an extension of India’s import certification deadline. The higher offers of a Northeast Asian manufacturer were supported by increased feedstock and shipping costs. The producer stated that "India freight costs remain strong" but the freight rates in Southeast [Asia] did not increase as much. "Northeast Asia is about $90/mt in July loading."
