Asian PVC: FoB China strengthened by higher freight rates / Asian PVC Prices Rise amid Rising Freight Costs / SE Asia prices rise amid weak demand

Reports on June 23 indicate that Asian PVC prices remained stable during the week ending June 25. Domestic prices in China were rangebound while export prices were firm to stable. This was due to higher offers resulting from higher freight costs, higher prices for ethylene and an extension of India's certification deadline. The higher offers of a Northeast Asian manufacturer were supported by increased feedstock and shipping costs. The producer stated that "Freight costs in Southeast [Asia] [didn't] rise [that much], while India freight costs remain strong". "Northeast Asia is around $90/mt in July." PVC CFR China is up $10/mt from last week to $720/mt on June 25. This was in line with the trades heard at 720/mt. A tradable indicator heard between $720 and $730/mt. And with reference offers...
