US spot polyvinylchloride exports at $830
-$840/mt FAS Houston February 15, flat on week. This is based upon stable
last-heard pricing indications amid limited markets activity. This is different from other producers, who
announced a 5 cents/lb price increase for domestic PVC. It was previously 2.49
million mt in 2019, and 2.45 million in 2020. The exports
dropped again in 2021, to 1.93 millions mt. However, the data shows that have
begun their recovery. US demand for PVC crashed in April 2020 due to
COVID-related issues. demand then spiked in mid 2020 and remained strong
through Q1 2022. Inflation, rising interest rates and fears of
recession caused a drop in demand for PVC through 2022. However, prices have
