Asian PVC: As stable as the buying appetite seen emerging- FOB China offers firm- Asia PVC-VCM spread hits eight-month highOn week July 27, Asian polyvinylchloride

to some market sources, the Asian PVC market has reached its bottom. In China,
there is a growing buying interest. Ethylene-based
PVC prices rose Yuan 200/mt weekly to Yuan 6,700-7,000/mt by July 27, while
carbide-based PVC prices were Yuan 150-200/mt lower at Yuan 6,550-7,000/mt in
the same time period. Market sources
indicated that August's fresh offers were not adjusted downward due to growing
buying interest. According to market
sources, August's fresh offers included a $190-230/mt decrease month-on-month
at $930-960/mt China and $1,090-,1120/mt India CFR. Sources in India indicated that most of the major producers
