Asian PVC - Chinese prices rise; market cautious amid Indian import restrictions / UNV1 producer delays June PVC offers / FOB China and CFR China both up $10/mt in the past week

The Asian PVC price ranged from stable to firm during the week ending May 21. China's domestic prices remained high following the rally in futures prices last week, and export prices rose as well, tracking domestic prices. CFR China PVC was up $10/mt from last week to $710/mt on May 21. This is because the demand for PVC imported by importers has been reported to have increased slightly following the US-China Trade Talks. China's domestic ethylene-based pvc was unchanged at Yuan 5,025/mt on May 21. China's domestic carbide-based pvc, however, increased by Yuan 70/mt to Yuan 4,815/mt in the same time period.
