PVC imported into IndiaDue to thin pricing discussions, Asian
polyvinylchloride was deemed stable at $20-25/mt down week Aug. 24, with no
significant price changes. The
CFR China PVC price was $905-920/mt on Aug. 24, According to market sources, spot price negotiations were
quiet following September's close. Spot
negotiations were also restricted on a FOB-China basis. China's PVC exports will decline due to lower plant
operations and power shortages. According
to market sources, China's PVC plant operation is currently at 70%. This is
down from 77% in July. China's July PVC
