Asian PVC: Chinese prices stable despite slower export demand / China's PVC imports lose their price advantage in India / SE Asia Market Activity Slows Due to Eid- al- Fitr Holidays

In the week ending April 2, Asian PVC prices ranged from stable to firm. Chinese prices held steady despite inventory pressures and a slowing of export demand. Southeast Asia was quiet as Eid-al-Fitr continued in certain Muslimmajority countries. CFR China PVC prices were unchanged from week to week, at $695/mt on April 2. This was below the ex-Korea price of $720/mt. The price of ethylene-based PVC remained unchanged from week to week at Yuan 5,100/mt on April 2. Carbide-based PVC remained stable, too, at Yuan 4,925/mt. A trader stated that China's domestic PVC markets are stable, despite the weak demand. Prices fluctuate only slightly. Inventory pressure, particularly for carbide-based PVC, is high. FOB China PVC Prices unchanged from day to day, but up $5/mt on a weekly basis at $645/mt....
