Process Safety Management (PSM) in Chemical Manufacturing

Introduction
Chemical manufacturing involves reactive substances, pressure, temperature, flammable materials, toxic chemicals, and complex equipment. When these hazards are not properly controlled, incidents can affect employees, contractors, nearby communities, the environment, and business continuity. Process Safety Management, commonly called PSM, is a structured approach to preventing catastrophic releases and major process incidents.
