monmer prices. Styrene monomer rose $39/mt to $1,096/mt CFR China Jan.
11. According to a producer, polystyrene markets usually track the
movements in styrene monmer markets but this week there has been no apparent
increase in orders due to customers' "average" demand. The
producer stated that customers are asking for February-arrival cargoes as they
approach the Lunar New Year holidays. Asian GPPS increased $10/mt on week
at $1185/mt CFR China Jan. 11. CFR Southeast Asia was up $20/mt to $1,295/mt. HIPS
CFR China was up $20/mt during the same period at $1280/mt CFR SEA and
