general-purpose polystyrene (or GPPS) down$15/mt weekly on week at $1145/mt CFR
China Nov. 30, FOB China offer heard as $1,150/mt with China's growing export
capacity for the GPPS in 2022. In the week ending December 4, the domestic
China price for GPPS was around Yuan 8,850/mt, or approximately $1,024.70/mt if
you use an import –parity basis. Given the low domestic price,
it seems unlikely that Chinese buyers will be keen to import at this time.
Offers on CFR China basis were heard not lower than $1170 -$1,180/mt. Feedstock
monomer of styrene slowed to $955/mt CFR China over the past week. A
