Asian general-purpose polystyrene spot price fell by $20/mt-$40/mt over the
week to $1,400/mt-$1,430/mt and rose by $65/ mt during the same time period to
$1,505/mt-$1,520/mt CFR Southeast Asia. Spot discussion about GPPS in
Northeast Asia was restricted due to the decline of Chinese import demand and
weaker domestic prices. Sources claim that China is shifting from
an importer to an exporter due to the availability of domestic products and
lower prices. For lower-grade prompt east
China delivery, the GPPS prices were at Yuan 9,400/mt- Yuan 9,30/mt or
