polystyrene markets was reported to have improved overall. Although demand recovery
in China was slower than expected, activity is now picking up due to more
active discussions. Upstream markets saw
styrene monomer drop by $42/mt CFR China to $1.101/mt February 8, while
butadiene increased by $140/mt during the same time period to $1.160/mt CFR
China February 8. A Chinese trader said that
demand has increased a bit this week and that prices have risen quite a bit
