21 saw trading activity mute and the CFR China propylene market remain
stable. Although the February ICE Brent crude oil futures contract rose
84c/b over the Asian close of $80.09/b at 0830 GMT on Dec. 21, it failed to
gain support for the propylene market. The domestic propylene market was
supported by a lower run rate and the planned shut down of some propane
dehydrogenation plants in Shandong province. East China propylene fell
Yuan 25/mt per day to Yuan 7,400/mt excank. Taekwang Industrial decided to
abandon its earlier plans to close Ulsan's PDH unit at the end November and to
buy propylene on the spot...
