Asian Propylene prices stable amid thin trade /Buyers hold back RFCC unit to be restarted by Taiwan's CPC on July 24, after technical problems

As the market rested, it was not surprising that the Asian propylene markets remained unchanged on July 11. The last trading day was quiet. A buyer in Asia said, "The market is quiet today as I didn't hear any buyers come out to see propylene." Taiwan's CPC closed its residue fluid cracker in Dalin, Taiwan, on June 27, due to a problem with the catalytic unit. It is expected to resume July 24, according to a company spokesperson. Source: The RFCC unit is capable of producing 450,000 mt/year propylene. It is not clear how much gasoline the unit produces, but a source on the market said that it was around 40,000 b/d. The company reduced its propylene supply to 87% in June due to an unexpected shutdown at the residue...
