China's propylene market was stable on Nov.
8, as buyers resisted buying due to weak downstream demand. January ICE Brent crude
oil futures contract rose $0.08/b over the Asian close of $97.72/b 0830 GMT.
However, the marginal increase did not support propylene feedstock. A South Korean propylene trader said that China's zero COVID
policy is still limiting propylene demand. "The global economy is still under stress." The spread in price between propylene and PP was $40-$45/mt
Nov. 8. This is well below the $150-$70/mt breakeven spread. According to a source, China Shandong prices were Yuan 7,150-Yuan7,230/mt
exc-works. This was an increase of Yuan 75/mt-Yuan95 since China's Oriental
