were reluctant to commit to spot imports due to concerns that the recent price
rise had outpaced downstream fundamentals. The February ICE Brent Crude
Oil Futures contracts were up 2.88/b over the Asian close of $86.76/b 0830 GMT. However,
the increase in crude oil prices did not stimulate import demand. Propylene
demand continued to rise despite the planned shutdown of the producers and
depleting inventories in China. Propylene from Shandong was heard at Yuan
7,650/mt expand Dec. 1, an increase of Yuan 50/mt over Nov 30. A buyer in
