China's
propylene market remained stable in November 9th as buyers were cautious when
picking up import cargoes. The January ICE Brent crude oils futures
contract fell $2.97/b on the Asian close of $94.75/b 0830 GMT. A Chinese
buyer commented on the recent rise in propylene prices in Shandong, saying that
some roads were closed in Shandong recently due to COVID-19 cases. China
Shandong prices were Yuan 7,225/mt exc-works, an increase of Yuan 75/mt for the
day. The spread in price between propylene and polypropylene was $40/mt
Nov. 9, which is well below the $150/mt breakeven spread. A South Korean
propylene producer said that China's economy growth and zero COVID policies are
