PDH plant run rate to 80% in DecThe propylene market in China remained steady Nov. 16 amid
mutedtrading activities.The January ICE Brent crude oil futures contract was up
$1.24/bfrom the previous Asian close at $93.92/b at 0830 GMT, but the upliftin
crude oil fail to usher in buying interest for propylene.Buying interest was
reported thin as buyers remained cautious onimport purchases given weak
downstream PP demand.The price spread between polypropylene and propylene
wascalculated at $40/mt Nov. 16, well below the typical breakeven spreadof
$150/mt.In plant news, South Korea's SK Advanced is planning to reducethe run
rate of its propane dehydrogenation plant in Ulsan to 80% forDecember, down 5%
from November.The company had restarted the PDH...
