Oct. 8September 30 saw the Chinese domestic
propylene market continue to be supported by the last-minute shopping spree in
advance of the week-long Golden Week holiday. Although the November ICE
Brent crude oil futures contract was $1.26/b higher than the Asian close of
$89.45/b at 0830 GMT at the time, the market for propylene was not supported by
the rise in crude oil prices. Prices for
domestic cargoes continued to rise due to higher replenishment needs prior to the
Oct. 1 holiday. The propylene price in
Shandong for Shandong extant was Yuan 7,400/mt. This is an increase of Yuan
