remain stable as buyers were cautious about buying imports when there was no
improvement in downstream demand. The
ICE October Brent crude oils futures were up $2.27/b compared to the previous
Asian close of $99.68-104.50/b 0830 GMT Aug. 12. However, the higher crude oil prices did not support
propylene feedstock prices. A Northeast
Asian end-user stated that the market is quiet and no one is asking for
propylene, even though many are cutting their downstream run rates. As a result of a weak downstream demand and supply glut,
