Spot trading in general-purpose polystyrene was less active at the end of April as attention shifted
upstream to feedstock markets and settlement of monthly contract price. A lower demand draw has made producers more open to price
negotiations, with occasionally lower prices available for purchase, a trader
stated. However, the largest market segment remained at Eur2,500-2,550/mt. There was some hesitancy among buyers throughout April with
lower demand in the packaging and food sectors. Due to the Easter holiday at factories, which saw order books reduced, and high prices, some converters were forced to reduce or
